Title: Amazing buy, can’t go wrong with this one!
Review: It’s truly a steal for the price! This is all around a great laptop, good for gaming, editing and everything else you can think of. Also the temperatures on this laptop even while heavy gaming are outstanding. The only con I’d say is the battery life but then that’s what you’d expect with a gaming laptop.If you can spend a little over a lac, I’d suggest you to blindly buy this amazing laptop!

Title: Beast with a fatal design issue.
Review: I bought this laptop during the October 2023 Diwali sale.And unfortunately, I too became the victim of the black screen issue this entire hp omen 16 model is facing after the 10th month.After researching a bit, I found that every unit will face the black screen issue after 6 months because of a design issue in the HALL Sensor placement by HP and my unit was no different.The sensor basically tells the system about the lid being down or up, and after a few months, the sensor is bound to turn defective and send ‘lid is down’ signal when it overheats as it is placed near the heatsink.So when someone faces the black screen issue, that simply means the system is thinking you’ve turned the lid down.Fortunately, there is a fix for this and that is removing the HALL Sensor cable from the system, but the drawback is the system will never know if your screen is down.I have applied the fix to my system and it is working fine now.But it really makes us question how HP can make this big design mistake that too in a premium range laptop? I really hope that someone sues them for this.And yes, HP is aware of this issue. You can simply search ‘HP is aware of black screen issue’ on reddit.Apart from this, the laptop is indeed a beast and is value for money.

Title: Great purchase i have ever made
Review: This laptop is a champ, im talking abt 2023 model, hp omen 16 4060 and ryzen 7840HS, 16gb ram, 1tb ssd, overall it is very good for the price and does everything i ask for easily, gaming performance is awesome, but ram is not sufficient for so i have upgraded to 32gigs ddr5,Everything abt this laptop is top notch and no complaints from me, ex: cover for web cam, build quality, speaker, cooling system, every decision hp made is very good and it shows, and the battery life is very good too coz of the amd zen 4 chip efficiency

Title: everything you need to know
Review: i got this 10 days ago for 90k in the prime day sale, and here are my thoughts:1) excellent value for money, 7840hs (which is almost identical to 8845hs except the NPU) + rtx 4060 (120W TGP) is a wonderful combo. nvidia control panel lists tgp at 120W and the gpu actually hits 113W in my own testing. 3d mark time spy results are pretty good too – median performance for given specs.2) very good thermals, with performance setting + discrete gpu (more on this later) and auto fans, the cpu and gpu stays well below 80-85 degrees in 35 degree ambient – which is stellar.3) the build is good – although is majorly plastic except for the aluminium lid, it’s solid. sorted ergonomics and the subtle blacked out looks make this a good work machine.4) the display is “only” fhd 16:9, I would have much preferred wqhd 16:10 display, and maybe a bit higher brightness – but the one installed is quite good and fairly color accurate. fhd + rtx4060 is an ideal pairing i’ve learnt. i didn’t have major backlight bleed either.would definitely recommend at 1lacs or lower.(some pro insights)5) 2023 omens (xf/wf series) were known for hall sensor issue where the laptop screen would suddenly stop working – digging into those threads, it is evident that the issue occurs due to a poor hall sensor placement location in laptops which have usb and power port at the back. this laptop (xd0020ax and likely all xd/wd series) has all ports on the sides – the back is entirely vents and thus it is NOT prone to the said issue. Now, the port layout is exactly same as 2023 victus models, so I am convinced the motherboard inside is a tweaked victus motherboard once hp realized the mess with the original 2023 omen. Ideally that should have been a cause for concern as companies cheap out on components on lower priced series (like victus in this case), but looking at good performance and tweaks – (a) such as replacing mediatek mt7921 wifi card (which has pathetic download speeds in 2023 victus series) with chart topper mediatek mt7922 (b) extra ssd slot (as per hp faq on their website, 2023 victus only have one m.2 ssd slot), I am happy, especially at the price I got it.6) the ssds used are kioxia ssds, which simply do not have top of the class performance. the laptop definitely deserved a better ssd. however, the same won’t be felt in day to day usage and they are pretty reliable too from what i could gather.7) the device does not have advanced optimus – although you have mux switch, but it requires a restart. further, I would have also loved the advanced bios settings from xf/wf series.(one final point, since some people are complaining about a “different” keyboard layout, the video and the 360 are of the xf series omen – which is now replaced with this xd one, and thus the discrepancy. this same listing was selling the xf series earlier and thus a few have also reported hall sensor related issues.)in conclusion, having known all good, bad and ugly, i am quite happy with the purchase – at the quoted price.

Review: When I first bought it I didn’t expect to be this much goodAnyway you may have to plug in if need more performance. It’s quite a heavy laptop. Better cooling system. The first day when I bought this I just opened only minecraft but I set in maximum chunks it’s getting around like 80 fps

Title: Scam in the name of gen4 SSD
Review: I got this laptop at around 94k, I was very happy with the pricing but once I started using it and checked benchmarks, I was shocked to see the read speed of its SSD which despite being gen4 does not give speeds like its supposed to(6000 – 7000 MB/s) . It was getting 3600 MB/s which is the max speed of gen3 SSD. Other specs are upto the mark but for this purpose only I dont want to give it any more than 1 star.

Title: After a week usage: Beast performance
Review:  This is well balanced for heavy work and gaming. The ryzen 7 processor with Nvidia RTX 4060 is a great combo and delivers above 80+ FPS in max resolution of 1920×1080 for Ultra setting (with DLSS and Ray Tracing-ultra on) in games like Assain Creed Valhalla, Shadow of the Tomb raider, Control, Watch Dogs 2. SSD has write speed of 700+MB/s (same ssd drive), 100%sRGB display. Great Thermals in performance mode. Graphics Switcher from Omen App and from Bios too. Ports at back side are awesome to clear the wire clutter. 16GB DDR5 5200Mhz is awesome. May seem a bit overpriced but its what you can expect from HP and Dell companies with good after sales service.
