Review: Where do I even begin?This book will stay with me for a long time.Dani Atkins has now become one of my favourite writers. This was such a beautiful book and one of the best I have read this year, so far. I am a big soppy romantic, so this was right up my street.Finn and Gemma are about to get married, which Gemma considers the happiest day of her life. That’s until Finn fails to show up at the church.From the very first page, I was hooked. Dani’s characterisation is brilliant. I couldn’t put it down. I needed to know what happened to Finn.As the story unfolds you learn more about Finn and how he and Gemma met. It was a beautiful love story between them. I was rooting for Finn not to have done the obvious to her. Her faith in Finn was unwavering throughout the book – that only makes you hope her family and friends are wrong, as they know he’s disappeared on her before. I loved Gemma’s relationship with her dad too.As the story continues and we eventually learn the truth – it’s heartbreaking and beautiful all at once. It made me realise Finn wasn’t an arse and Gemma was absolutely the love of his life.I hope this gets made into a TV/film adaptation. I can definitely see Henry Cavill as Finn and Emilia Clarke as Gemma.I have a few more books by Dani and I look forward to reading them and having my heart torn and pulled out, then stomped on a lot and then put back together again. Thank you Dani.
