Meghan Michaels is trying to find balance between being a single mum to a teenage daughter and working as a full-time nurse. While on duty at the hospital one day, a patient named Caitlin arrives in a coma, having plunged from a bridge onto train tracks below.

But when a witness comes forward with shocking details about the fall, it calls everything they know into question. Was Caitlin pushed and if so, by whom and why?

Meghan has always tried to stay emotionally detached from her patients, but this time, she mistakenly lets herself get too close, until she’s deeply entangled in Caitlin’s and her family’s lives. Only when it’s too late, does she realise that she and her daughter could be the next victims.

Title: Worth a one tkme read
Review: Story was good, so was the suspense. Once that was done, felt like the book was elongated for no reason, could have been ended much sooner.Overall a good one time read. Once you know the ending/ suspense, can probably skim through the rest.

Title: Mind blowing
Review: Book review:She’s not sorry by Mary Kubica .OMG … This was an amazing read. A perfect Thriller.Meghan Michaels is trying to find balance between being a single mom to a teenage daughter and working as a full time nurse. While on duty at the hospital one day, a patient named Caitlin arrives in a coma with a traumatic brain injury, having jumped from a bridge and plunging over twenty feet to the train tracks below. But did she really fall , or did someone push her??Meghan tries not to get too attached with her patients but this time, she mistakenly lets herself get too close until she’s deeply entangled in Caitlin’s and her family’s lives. Only when it’s too late, does she realize that she and her daughter could be the next victims. This would definitely be on my favourite thrillers of 2024 list. The writing was too good , kept me hooked throughout. While reading, I was literally holding my breath . It was intense. And the end was just MIND BLOWING ! I didn’t expect that at all! I loved loved and loved this book and enjoyed it thoroughly.I can’t wait to read Mary Kubica’s other books. If you love intense thrillers, which is fast paced and keeps you guessing till the end, READ THIS ONE!RATING:4/5 🌟

Title: A Creepy and Captivating Murder Mystery Thriller with Delectable Story Line
Review: MK once again proves why she is the best in the genre of contemporary mystery thriller setup.𝘚𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘚𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 is a slow-burn of sorts, with all the required elements needed to keep the readers guessing the next move by our protagonist Meghan Michaels and the unexpected twists in story plot and character construction that will keep you on a seductive high and pull you more into her world.Meghan is divorced from her long-time husband, Ben Long, of two decades. She lives in a small apartment with her 16-year-old daughter, Sienna. She is a responsible and kind nurse in her work avatar, with a no-nonsense approach to her routine, and a stickler of a parent to a teenager. The prologue begins with a kidnapper asking for a ransom amount in order to leave Meghan’s daughter, or he will kill her….One day, there is a patient named Caitlin Beckett who gets admitted into the emergency ward, which she is in charge of among other nurses on a rotational shift basis.Caitlin is now in a coma after jumping off a bridge next to a railway track. How she survived is still a mystery for many in the hospital, though.Soon, Meghan monitors Caitlin on a day-to-day basis and keeps tabs on her health condition. She also gets along well with Caitlin’s parents and brother. They too insist Meghan nurse their daughter rather than other nurses.Until what was considered a suicidal act by Caitlin is dismissed by the city police as an attempted murder, as one of the witnesses saw Caitlin being pushed off the bridge by a person.Meanwhile, Meghan rekindles her school friendship with Natalie Cohen during a church-conducted divorce programme. Nat and Meg soon get to know each other well, and she also learns about Nat’s abusive husband Declan. As the police investigation starts, there is a stir in Meghan’s life. There is no contact with Natalie too, as she vanishes out of the blue as Meg is left with no option but to search in Nat’s preschool and Declan’s law firm. Both the searches lead to a dead end.Why are police so firm that Caitlin’s case is a sure-shot murder attempt? What happened to Natalie? Who kidnapped Sienna? To know this and more about this pulse-pounding crime and murder-mystery thriller set in a hospital background in wintry and windy Chicago, give it a read, as I recommend MK’s all novels if you haven’t read her previously. Here, in this novel, she has so beautifully merged the timeline of the events that you will think twice to believe what she had pulled off with a double twist (the final act)—at times predictable, but overall, an immersive story to read on a sleepless night.

Title: But I’m sorry…
Review: But I’m sorry…What the hell did I just read? The story revolves around Meghan Michaels, a single mom and an ICU nurse then a patient named Caitlin who jumped from a bridge to a train track below. Then a witness came forward saying that she was pushed. This was an interesting premise so I decided to start it but then the story revolves around a predator targetting women. Although the twist at the end of part one was really good and I didn’t see that coming. But I didn’t feel connected with Meghan or Caitlin or anyone in the story. There was a lack of depth in the characters.Overall, it was not my cup of tea.

Review: I hadn’t read any of this author before, but really enjoyed this book. I thought it was very cleverly written and thought out (although I do have to agree with some other reviewers who said that some of the details of the plots didn’t quite make sense) But it definitely gave me a couple of ‘gasp’ moments! I look forward to reading some more from this author.
