Title: Screen died in less than 2 months – Abysmal quality control [EDIT: Xiaomi replaced it]
Review:  EDIT 08/26: In my experience with Xiaomi products, they’ve always made good quality hardware. Maybe not the best software (ahem, MIUI) but they make excellent hardware so it was surprising that I received a lemon. However, after visiting the service center 3 times with repeated issues with my unit even after they replaced the screen (overheating, dead touch zones, boot loop and more) they decided to send me a brand new replacement unit (after I strongly suggested there’s something very wrong with the unit I had gotten). I’m happy to report that the replacement unit I received has no issues (other than YouTube automatically resuming playback after I pause it and the occasional ghost touches) and works extremely well and is all that I expected my initial unit to be like, so thank you Xiaomi for being customer centric and not leaving me hanging.The old 1-star review for posterity:Maybe it’s an issue with my particular unit or maybe not but all I know is that I got a lemon.The screen on the phone died within 2 months, even before my 3 month EMI period was even up! It just randomly died when I was trying to use the IR blaster on it and then stayed dead ever since. A reboot didn’t fix the problem. It still works (I think, I can’t really see what’s on the screen) because I can hear notifications popping up and the phone ringing when I get a call. However, I only see very bright solid colors or straight lines on the screen now (see attached video).Before you say I’m at fault here, the phone never hit a hard surface, was never dropped, never dunked in water and was never used much at all really. In fact, I was so busy with other stuff I hardly got around to using it at all so it wasn’t ‘rough use’ or ‘misuse’ that caused the failure. This is my first experience with such poor hardware quality control with a Xiaomi product so I’m hoping it isn’t widespread and I just received a dud. I pre-ordered it so maybe they rushed it together and borked something?I have a service appointment next week and will update this review based on my service/repair experience. I hope a replacement can be arranged though as it’s gonna leave a really bad taste in my mouth if I have to get a brand new phone (which I haven’t even finished paying for) repaired. Oh well, lesson learnt I guess.Never pre-order anything boys. Cyberpunk taught us that at least.

Title: Fast performing, superb camera, sub optimal battery life and glitches!!
Review: Writing this review after using the phone for last 7 daysFirst of all, the display is superb, phone is also nice and easy to hold onto hand and lightweightIt’s very fast with SD 888 and 8GB RAM, silky smooth for day to day work and gaming (gets hot after 10 mins or so)Back camera is awesome, pro feature and videos are really cool. UWD camera is pedestrian thoughBattery, drains really fast, not sure why. Forget about 120HZ refresh rate, even with 60HZ and with normal use (no game!!), phone had to be charged within the day. I found that with 60HZ, dark mode and battery saver on, phone lasts a day without charging. This is a bit disappointingNext comes the software, MIUI needs improvement. Found strange issues like error popup during first time set up. It also starts to misbehave (like touch does not work properly, or hangs sometime) after 1-2 days of use and had to restart to get over it. I hope fixes will come soon for thisOverall I still feel it is a great value for money, if software is fixed, then other than battery, phone really becomes a flagship killer!

Title: It’s a good phone.!!
Review: I was skeptical about the purchase due to the negative reviews. But after discount and exchange, got this phone for 22.5k. The mobile battery was fully drained out when the packet arrived, and that got me worried a bit about the product quality. Also after charging, I updated the MIUI to version 13, through internet.My impression started to improve a lot since I started using the phone. The battery runs full day, and charges fast (not really quick among it’s competition). But the processor is impressive for all that you can throw at it – use it for few hours and you’ll see yourself. The response is super quick.! Camera serves all my regular needs. The network connectivity is also quite good with low SAR value, at the head. Coming from a Samsung M series phone, this phone is a strong upgrade for me.I don’t understand why so many negative reviews are getting posted here. Maybe there are defective pieces out there or fake reviews, which I have no idea about. However, it does makes sense for a genuine user like me to speak up the truth. I’m 100 % confident my phone is a good one and it has exceeded all my expectations.Not posting this review to provide purchase recommendation. But I must give credits to the product for what it deserves. If someone asks whether I regret my decision to purchase this phone – No, Thank you.!

Title: Dont buy Mi phones
Review: Writing this review after 2 years of usage, phone had hardware issues, got mother board repaired which is 70% of the phones cost, worst camera in phone costing so much, terrible service, phone gets hot like crazy while doing daily small tasks. Battery backup is poor. Display is washed out. Got cheated by mi, never buying an mi phone again.

Title: Amazing Mobile…
Review: Camera quality, Display resolution is amazing. RAM & Internal memory is also impressive. Looks is very awasome. I really like this mobile. But about it’s battery performance, it lil poor. I am not telling it’s battery backup/performance is bad… It’s ok, it has 4500mAH battery, which is really good & powerful for smartphones, but not good for this model. Because it has very high resolution display, in regarding power consumption 4500mAH battery is not sufficient for this model. It’s my suggestion, if it had been 5000mAh battery, then this mobile would have been a wonderful, which I ever used.
