Title: Very good ac but worst instalation service
Review: AC is good,cooling is good, big con is ‘no auto swing’ it’s only manually adjustable and its not widely movable in all directions. Title: Energy efficiency at its best
Review: Excellent air conditioner providing 5 yr pcb warranty and 10yr compressor warranty. No other window ac provides such long warranty. BLDC Dual inverter based compressor is the buzzword and USP of latest technology based innovation in air conditioning combined with the cooling efficiency and performance of R32 refrigerant gas used in modern day compressors. This model is by far the most energy efficient unit available in the market with an ISSER of 3.68 which boils down to an annual consumption of 1053 units depending upon usage. At 26-27 degrees Celsius this piece of innovation cools the bedroom sized 13X12 fairly well within 10-15 mins. It has a total cooling capacity of 5000 watts which is more than enough for a large room sized upto 180 sq feet. My bedroom on top floor is exposed to direct sunshine atleast 7-8 hrs a day. But with proper insulation of windows and walls the aircon unit works fabulous. Operating this at 25 degrees overnight for 7-8 straight hours led to the consumption of barely 2.5-3.0 units (kilowatts) based on the energy tracking feature on the 16amp smart plug/ socket from Solimo brand. I see a lot of ppl grumbling about loud noise vibrations engine/generator like sound etc which is not true. If someone is over clocking or revving up the compressor motor and overloading the unit at 16 degrees with fan/blowers running at full power with cool mode on, only in such instances the decibel levels increase upto 60db but not under normal operating conditions. In general the sound levels are upto 44 decibels which is well within acceptable limits and barely disturbing like most split AC’s. I do not see any sense in pushing the unit to perform at its borderline levels thereby trying to squeeze every ounce of bandwidth available at one’s disposal just bcoz the machine allows it. This kind of practice is detrimental for any air conditioning unit in the long run and will impact the overall efficiency, performance and lifespan of the unit. There should always be a right balance between cooling, energy efficiency and fan speeds. Only then can any unit perform at its optimum best. This is the basic rule of thumb and true for any air conditioner. One needs to hit the sweet spot to get the best out of this machinery. Kudos to the R&D engineers for having designed such an energy efficient unit. It beats most high 5 star rated split air conditioning brands in the market by meeting such fantastic energy efficiency numbers and living upto it’s true name and worth in terms of pricing and after sales support and brand warranty. I’m thrilled to have spent hours researching on 1.5 ton window ac options and finally having settled with this one. I don’t have any regrets and giving a very candid review of my first hand experience buying this unit. Purchased this unit on 9th May 2023 when the deal price was Rs. 39900. The unit was delivered promptly the very next day by the seller Dawntech Limited. I exchanged it for my 19 yr old 1.5 ton Electrolux non-inverter unit that was hogging a lot of power. During the offer period I got an exchange discount of Rs.6800 for the older unit which is far better than any other exchange offer by any seller or E-commerce platform so far. In total I got Rs 6800 in exchange + Rs. 1158 instant discount- Rs. 200 exchange service cost + Rs. 1602 as cash back using Amazon pay credit card . So the effective price paid by me was Rs. 30430 after offsetting everything which was a fantastic deal by any standards. Many thanks to Dawntech Technologies Ltd and Amazon for their collaborative efforts to make this happen.

Title: Decent AC but terrifying service
Review: AC cools the room a bit slower but seems very energy efficient(based on app). Remote has 6 buttons with no use. Developers could easily distribute functionalities like mode selection, light off, inverter load% to them, instead we have to follow certain keybinding to achieve those. Display panel on AC has 3 LED slots for fan speeds which never glow. Apparently that’s not a defect.Review on exchange service:Purchased AC at 33k and only got 1800 from exchanging older AC during purchase. From which they deducted 200 for “exchange service”. But guess what! Those “exchange service” people don’t know how to extract/handle a window AC. One of them dropped it on the floor like a ragdoll and almost broke floor tiles. They had no idea how to pull out the outer casing of older window AC. Why did I pay 200 for this garbage service?? I had to call a local technician on emergency rush because “exchange service” people won’t agree to wait. Had to pay the technician 300 for rush calling. Really terrible service from exchange which could end up costing lot more if floor got damaged.Review on installation service:After delivery LG customer service told installation will be done in 24hrs. Next day, which was Sunday, morning 8am got call saying installation will commence shortly. Afternoon got call from installation worker saying it got postponed to 3pm. Next call saying became 4pm. Next call saying 6pm. Next call 7:30pm by which 30hrs were passed and our locality had an unfortunate blackout. LG ruined the weekend…Monday afternoon they arrived. Their “engineer” mentions our apartment not modular despite every flat in this apartment complex being very modular and has dedicated space for installing AC upto 1.5ton in every bedroom along with a drainage line outside for AC. He seemed disappointed after providing our own 16A plug and very hesitant to use drainage pipe our society provided for AC. He started draging the heavy AC on the floor from one room to other instead of carrying it with his partner. It made screeching noise as it got dragged. Luckily our floor tiles are coated and didn’t get noticible scratches. In our previous LG window AC 10 years back, wood provided by the LG worker was of extremely poor quality and caused major problems later on. They did a very messed up job on split AC too. So we were prepared this time around and provided quality wood with ply attached. So all they had to do was little bit of wood framing and place the AC. These were their initial charges:Installation fee: 590Wood framing: 1500 (despite us providing wood, ply and pre-installed 75% wood framing done by construction workers)Small plastic drainage tray: 200 (real value no more than 50)Later on they added clamps to hold the drainage pipe to the outer wall without our permission and charged 80(real value no more than 20) for the clamps and 100 for “additional labor” to install the drainage pipe. So 380 just for fitting the pipe. Our local technician could do the same in just 50. Clamps were absolutely unnecessary to begin with and will be removed during the paint job of outer wall soon.So charges become 590+1500+380= 2,470 for this sort of installation. Expect price to be even higher for non-modular homes.When we asked for receipt, installation worker mentioned the cheap looking drainage tray, that costs 200 won’t be mentioned since it’s provided by them personally and not by LG, the receipt of 2270 will be sent to WhatsApp. Later checked, received “picture” of “handwritten” receipt of 2090 on WhatsApp. As some other commentators say, paper work from the service are messy and you would feel like getting owned by LG!!Only reason we opted for LG’s installation service because LG mentioned chemical damage won’t be covered if we use third party for installation.Before leaving, those installation workers asked us for “Happiness code” which are only supposed to be shared in case customer is happy with LG’s service(according to LG). We were certainly not “happy” and not obligated to share, so we refused at first. Then one of them starts blackmailing us using the warranty. “You don’t give Happiness Code, you don’t get Warranty.” I gave in to their harassment and shared the “Happiness Code” to make them leave.Simply put, messy and risky services. Recommend getting trusted third party for installation and have the old AC detached before exchange, even though it’s infuriating that you’re paying exchange service fee. Or just buy AC from companies that provide better service.
