Title: Good but over sensative
Review: I bought this for my balcony and washroom attached to the bedroomWhile the light sensor works flawlessly, the motion sensor is susceptible. It detects motion through walls, which is quite problematic. In the balcony, it picks up every tiny movement, even from insects and ghosts, and in the washroom, it constantly senses motion, keeping the light on almost all the time.Unfortunately, this defeats the purpose of having a motion sensor bulb. Therefore, I can only recommend this product for its light sensor capabilities. The motion sensor, however, is practically useless.

Title: EDIT: Works only at night!!! Non working products delivered
Review: EDIT: I connected it to the socket – during the day and it didn’t light up even after covering it up. But in the night (after dark) it started working. Sensor works fine. I wish there was a higher powered version available to purchase. ||||Between Amazon’s warehouse stocking of returned products and Halonix’s crappy product quality, I am left holding a lemon that is amazingly useless!

Title: Undependable sensor, plastic body
Review: I’ve been using PIR sensors for a few years now, and decided to try this bulb because it has an integral microwave sensor, so, it’s plug and play without extra wiring.It does not have an aluminium heat-sink base as you’d expect on a bulb of this price range. The grey part is plastic. So, durability will have to be seen. Other wise seems well made. It does not interfere with my WiFi, which was a concern since it is operating in the microwave spectrum. I am assuming it is a microwave sensor because the box says RADAR. I have not disassembled the bulb, so i cannot confirm, if RADAR is just a marketing term and if it uses PIR.The bulb has two sensors, motion and ambient light. If there is normal daylight in the room, it will not turn on. This rules out use in many rooms. You cannot use it in a bedroom or bathroom, for a shave, for example. It will run only if it is pretty dark, 50 lux or less according to the box.It turns of after a minute of no motion according to the box, but the piece i have turns off much sooner than one minute. This means there will be a lot of on off cycles, reducing lamp life. I’d suggest something along the lines of 5-7 minutes delay for off. This means if someone leaves the room for a few seconds the lamp won’t cycle unnecessarily. At 10W, that is hardly any energy waste. Both the ambient light and time delay are factory set, and are not user changeable.The motion sensor is undependable. If a person comes in the same spot, on the sensor coverage edge, it may or may not trigger. Sometimes you can walk in front of it, 1-2 meters away and it will not trigger. It says 360 deg coverage on the box, but that just means the cone of sensing is round. The actual coverage angle from the normal axis of the bulb seems pretty random. Finally, it needs continuous motion to stay on. If you are sitting on the toilet, it will go off, you have to wave pretty wildly to turn it back on.It’s certainly not suitable for the varied suggested areas. Only places where the person constantly moves, and is dark will benefit. The sensor and logic needs improvement.The light colour is very mildly yellower than the Philips LED i was using in the same place.Update 2: Worked for about a year.Update 1: I removed it from the bathroom as it was frustratingly annoying. Goes off when you are on the toilet, goes off while you’re shaving, goes off when taking a piss even, goes off while putting on contact lenses. Now moved it to a bedroom.
