Review: This book is a sort of specialist enthusiast book – great for a scientifically minded naturalist. It can be used just to look up pictures for identification and also used to study ants. It is not a textbook but is not far off in terms of detail and accuracy. My (autistic) daughter loves it (and ants).

Review: Very interesting book for the amateur naturalist, lots of useful and interesting information on British Ants. Pictures good – as mentioned by other reviewers would have been nice if more of the plates were in colour – if it had been I would have given it 5 stars. However the information in the book should prove good enough for identification of any UK ant found. Reasonably portable size. Pleased with purchase

Review: When I got round to reading the book I found the wrong cover had been attached. The cover was Ants, but the rest of the book was Solitary Wasps by Yeo and Corbet – so please check your purchase!
