Back in her husband’s bed…
Rowan had discovered two things that would change her life for ever. The first filled her with joy – she was pregnant! The second was something that she felt compelled to keep to herself – even from her husband… Rowan had been Isandro Salazar’s bride of convenience. But, knowing that he would never love her as she loved him, her choice was to make her unborn child her priority and then, once he was born, make her dark journey by herself…
But in Isandro’s eyes Rowan’s decision rendered her a gold-digger who had committed the worst possible crime. However, he couldn’t stop her seeing her baby son – or deny that the passion between them was as raw and intense as ever…

Title: Book Review
Review: The story opens with Rowan Carmichael, a woman of twenty-seven, who is feeling out of sorts at a luxury hotel. She is there to meet with her solicitor, to consult how to get back to her baby, and her husband, both of whom she had had to abandon two years before. But before that meeting happened, a little boy stumbles near her, a boy with the same violet eyes as her, and behind that comes Isandro Vicario Salazar, her husband, seeing whom she has a dead faint.Isandro couldn’t believe his eyes, he hated her guts. Rowan, his wife, who left him and her newborn son, minutes after the birth. What he didn’t know is that she is in pain, too much pain. She’s just recovered from a terminal illness, and the first thing she remembers is to see her son. But of course, he believes she is as mercenary as they come and is after his money. So, he proposes divorce instead to get rid of her permanently.Les than two years ago, she had left a note with the express purpose to hurt. And hurt he was, and in turn he vowed to hurt her now, with Isandro setting conditions for her contact with his son. For which she agrees to travel with him to Seville from London. Theirs had been an arranged marriage, to save his business Rowan’s father had agreed to an agreement with Isandro on the condition that he marries Rowan and saying that she would inherit her mother’s money. Just by looking at her, Isandro thinks that there is something wrong with her; but, the next instant he doesn’t believe her as she had callously left her newborn son. On the other hand, I couldn’t believe the sacrifice Rowan made to ensure the emotional wellbeing of her son, to the extent of leaving him like that. She still has nightmares about the time she had to spend apart from Zac, her baby.It was an emotional journey after that, as time and again Rowan had had to prove herself a worthy mother to her own son in the eyes of Isandro. I salute her spirit for that. There are a lot of things going on in the story that kept me hooked all throughout. It was endearing to read about her uncertainties, vulnerabilities, after so long a time spent away from her home. What was really surprising was that Sandro had noticed her more than normal illness during her pregnancy, yet not willing to find out why it was so.This was such an emotional story. Nowhere did it seem to be a marriage bargain! And with a wonderful ending. It made me cry. This is Book 1 of The Marriage Bargain Series. I have heard Book 2 is a boring read. So, I’m straightaway skipping to Book 3.

Title: heart warming story
Review: This is the 2nd book that I have read from Abby Green & I loved it for its plot and characters whose portrayal shows depth & connection. This is the story of Rowan Carmichael (daughter of a banker) & Isandro Salazar [Investor/Banker], a marriage that started as a business merger but soon saw itself as meaning more than that. It’s a heartbreaking & heartwarming story at the same time.A definite download and read kind. I purchased the book.

Review: The strong and complex personalities of the main characters created depth and intense emotional drama throughout the story. The unexpected events added suspense and intrigue which made the plot gripping and enthralling. There were times when years full my eyes and their vulnerabilities evoked powerful emotions. Review: I have read most of Abby Green’s books and this is the best by far. As others have mentioned, the plot has several twists and heavy emotional scenes in it which keeps you riveted. The hero was blatantly cruel to the heroine which was sometimes painful to read, but his reasons become obvious as the story progresses. My only dissatisfaction is I don’t think the hero showed enough remorse for his actions in the end, but overall it was a great story and great character development.

Review: A beautiful story that I wish they made a TV Lifetime movie version of it. I’d definitely buy it, if so. This feels more like a family love story though as oppose to being focused on romantic.I really appreciate the title of the book; not tacky like many other titles out there. Both characters were strong and loving. No childish antics. My only issue was that 2nd time she proved herself. It felt too obvious the moment he gave her the phone. I don’t really know though; how it could have been done differently. All in all, I’ll definitely keep an eye on this author and look forward to her other books. I rate this a 4.5
