Review: First, the edition I received is the “approved for sale in India” version.. The physical quality is excellent and the book was even shipped with reinforced corner guards – good job!I understand that this is book represents a “review” of the Certified Reliability Engineer BoK and is not intended as a comprehensive instructional text. However, fairly or not, I am comparing this Handbook to the Certified Quality Engineering Handbook.In doing so, it is my opinion (the only one to which I am entitled) that the CRE handbook provides less explanatory information and the examples provided are not as “understandable” as those in the CQE Handbook (except of course for the sections that were basically excerpted from the CQE handbook).I quite often had to re-read sections to grasp the flow and frequently found myself myself asking “where did he/they get that number/factor/information?” I feel that many of the example calculations would benefit from more explanatory detail akin to that found in the CQE HandbookDuring my initial read -through of the materials I made a substantial list of concepts/terms/calculations to research elsewhere. In a sense this might be deemed a “positive circumstance” if I consider my list of questions as additional “references” to add to the those cited in the handbookAll things considered I found this Handbook fundamentally useful but only marginally satisfactory for my learning style.

Review: This is a great price for this product. Note that it is the Indian version and will be shipped to you from India. However, I don’t see anything about it that is different from the American version other than the price.
