‘If power is your ultimate goal, this is the book you need’ The Times
Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this piercing work distils three thousand years of the history of power into forty-eight well-explicated laws. As attention-grabbing in its design as it is in its content, this bold volume outlines the laws of power in their unvarnished essence, synthesizing the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun-tzu, Carl von Clausewitz, and other great thinkers.
Some laws require prudence (“Law 1: Never Outshine the Master”), some stealth (“Law 3: Conceal Your Intentions”), and some the total absence of mercy (“Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally”), but like it or not, all have applications in real-life situations.
Illustrated through the tactics of Queen Elizabeth I, Henry Kissenger, P T Barnum, and other famous figures who have wielded – or been victimised by – power, these laws will fascinate any reader interested in gaining, observing or defending against ultimate control.

Review: “The 48 Laws of Power” deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. Even though I am still reading this book, this book is a masterpiece of strategic wisdom, offering profound insights into human behavior and power dynamics. With each law meticulously crafted and illustrated through historical anecdotes, Greene captivates readers, prompting reflection on their own interactions and ambitions. Its timeless relevance transcends boundaries, making it indispensable for anyone navigating the complexities of relationships and influence. While some may find its teachings controversial or Machiavellian, there’s no denying its value in understanding the nuances of power. Title: The raw and cold truths to live a great life!
Review: The short version -This book has to be read with an open mind. This book throws at you the raw and cold rules that have to be followed in the world. This book may question your morals, make you question your values. You may not like this book due to its rawness, but read it with an open mind and you’ll find at least 20 laws to apply in your daily life.Read it to understand the dark side of human psychology. Just read it with an open mind, that’s all I ask of you.The long version -What can I say about this book. It is actually quite better than I expected. Well, sometimes the laws in this book can be used interchangeably and the examples may become overwhelming, but it is all worth it. The preface of the book itself contains some very profound advice as to how to apply these laws and what all things to know before applying them. The laws mentioned in this book may seem too cold and too bad. But to be on top of the corporate ladder, we have to be ruthless. Because if we are not, the world will swallow us. We have to be prepared for the worst. The book explains the laws in a lucid way. The writing style of the author is pretty smooth and understandable. It is straight forward without any drags or repetitions. The laws may seem too weird or cold to some people, but all you have to do is to be with an open mind and understand the importance and application of each law. This is not that type of book which you read and forget about. This book is the most brutal and straight forward thesis as to live like a king. The main concept present in all the laws is the act of manipulation. Manipulation plays a very important role in applying these laws. The author also uses various important examples and anecdotes from throughout history to brief as to how a specific law was applied. He also tells us when not to use the law. Because during certain circumstances the laws may backfire and may get you into trouble. This book contains a very dangerous set of principles that have to be applied only when the need arises. Sometimes the opposite of the law happens and you may get into trouble. So the laws have to be applied on an intuitive basis, and you must always go with the flow of the situation rather creating the one of your own.On the final note, this book is for those people who wanna rule the world. Who want to be ruthless and cunning. Those leaders who would stop at nothing to achieve what they want. Practice these laws daily and remember them to achieve great things.

Review: Really interesting. A book to go back to once in a while. Important to remember that itâs not a guide to how you should be going through life but how power works no matter if you choose to use these principles or not.
