Title: Great product for small size room
Review: Really great product for 100-120sqft, very compact and durable. Quality material used for manufacturing. Must recommend for small size room. Cooling capacity is normal and fan noise is very low.Note -It will required ventilation form backside for coolling.

Title: Don’t buy
Review: I bought this product 4 months back. It stopped working now and there is a noise coming from the motor. When I looked deep into it I could smell smoke from the cooler, so I think the coil got burnt. When I did a internet search for symphony product, I came to know that the motor components are not good specially the winding copper and insulation. I also believe that the motor is not IP rated for water and dust. All these are my conclusions based on my observation since I was not able to find these technical details in their manual. I would not suggest this product to anyone.

Title: Worst ever product
Review: Definitely it’s not a good product.Worst ever purchase in my lifetime. The cooling is not working properly from day 1. Still the cooling is not coming. And the product is started to getting old. Don’t go for this. Waste of money and time.

Title: Lousy engineering
Review: I’ve had this cooler for a year now. It’s an OK product, but not something I would recommend. On the positive side, it cools well enough, and it’s cheap. On the negative side:1. It’s a pain to clean. My locality is quite dusty, and naturally, the cooler collects a fair bit of it and makes a scummy layer at the bottom. That’s not the cooler’s fault. To get to the bottom, we have to remove some 20-odd screws from the rear (I forgot the exact number) and scrub the bottom. Except that the pipe that connects the water pump and the honeycomb pads is not easy to remove. I have let it be. With the rear hanging out, the cooler becomes cumbersome to manoeuvre and scrub. There’s a plug to drain the wash water, so that helps a bit. An easier sliding mechanism would have helped.2. The air outlet is fairly narrow. See the big black area to the front? Only the left half is the air outlet. The right half is coloured black only to fool us.3. It’s a pain to fill the cooler. We can pour water at two inlets, but in both cases, water has to be poured very slowly. Couldn’t they have provided a pipe inlet or a chute to make things faster? While you’re filling water from the rear, the water level indicator is to the front, and needs a good amount of light to see. More often than not, the water ends up overflowing. There’s a spout to the rear to let out the excess water, but it doesn’t jut out far enough to keep a mug to collect the water. You see, the spout is in a recessed region of the rear, and a container you might use to collect the water will interfere with the corner wall. It’s hard to explain without pictures, but the basic idea is that they have not made it convenient to collect the excess water. Making the spout about 5cm long wouldn’t have cost them much, and made our lives so much easier. But no, it’s obvious they did not test the usability of the product at all.4. I have a 12 litre cooler. How long does 12 litres of water last in this cooler? Customers are expected to figure it out for themselves. FYI, it lasts for about half a night. Granted, how long the water lasts depends on the humidity of the incoming air, but it’s straightforward for the company to test the cooler in dry conditions and publish some reference numbers. That way, customers won’t buy the 12-litre one only to later wish they had bought a larger one instead.

Title: Looks good and that’s all about it
Review: Well, this looks good and that is all. There is nothing going in for it. Although wheels are provided, the movement is not smooth may be because of small wheels. Draining the water is a nightmare as you need to take it to bathroom or someplace where you can keep to let the water leak from the unit. The drain plug is at the absolute bottom of the unit and very difficult to reach both while removing the drain plug and also while re-fixing it back. It is important to drain unused water in air coolers frequently to avoid infestations of germs and and prevent bad smell, but this cooler does not let you do that. Another biggest drawback is the location to put water. It is at the back of the unit! As we all know, it is important to keep air cooler near a window so that the cooling pads face the window’s open air side to draw warm air, but every time we want to put water in it, we have to move the cooler and realign again and again. Now comes the biggest worst part of this cooler- cooling: it could not perform satisfactorily even when the outside humidity is 30%! The problem is more likely with the blower type of fan used, which cause most of cooling effect to be lost within the fan mechanism itself. Now even more annoying part is the NOISE! it sounds horrible, can’t hear a thing happening outside when this cooler is on in the room – even in the LOW mode. Forget about using phone, listening to music or attending to office calls. Not sure what is this cooler for. While I have nothing against Amazon delivery, they only offer replacement, no return available. So we are stuck with this junk once bought. Very sorry to see Symphony designed such a worst product unit which could not meet the purpose it is intended, while looks wise it is design is good.
