Title: Premium (Priced) 32″ TV, with compact footprint
Review: Likes :- It met my primary requirement of a narrow footprint to for a tabletop only 60cms wide.Frankly, if I had cheaper 32″ TVs with a similar stand, I would have gone for it. The distance between two stands is optimal for fitting into a small area.- Coming from a 21 year old CRT and 12 year old Panasonic LCD TV, this seems like an improvement in every way, but that’s not really a high benchmark to begin with.- My family watches STB news / sports occasionally, and this one serves the purpose to the T, even on SD the picture quality looks better than expected.- Ordered in Nov 2023, received a September 2023 manufactured piece, which is good, seems that inventory for this moves fairly quickly. Sony sure has its own fan following..- Sony service was at the doorstep between 48-72 hours of delivery, which may be a bit longer than what industry has led us to expect in recent times. Warranty is void if self install is attempted, which I confirmed from the customer support. Setup is very easy and should have been given as an option atleast for tabletop mount.- Viewing quality is much higher than the sum of its parts, somehow hides it’s 1366x766p hardware very well. Colour representation is excellent, even for SD TV channels and routine OTT fare.Dislikes — Premium viewing experience.. from the year 2013. Specs on paper are outdated for 2023.- Costs atleast 2x it’s Chinese or Chinese rebranded competition. Is it worth 2x more ? For a layperson like me, doubtful. If it were not for the narrow stand, I would have gone for something else without giving this a second thought. Not at all Value For Money.
