Review: The quality of spring in the battery socket is 3rd grade. It does not hold the battery properly.Also the volume up and down is not continuous, meaning that for example you need to move it 5 times if you want to move the volume 5 steps up or down. In proper remotes, you need to just move it once and keep it there to move the volume up or down.Moreover there is no return option. I replaced the 1st remote but even the 2nd one had the same issues.DO NOT WASTE your money on this remote.

Review: A picture says 1000 words. Just look at the comparison of these two remotes. Samsung‘s original remote control is so excessively complex, that it can be difficult to use by feel alone, and as such, it was a real pleasure to find a much simpler and compact solution. My original remote does not have a home button, which is what prompted my search, but I am so delighted with this simplified ergonomic interface. It offers all the functions I need quick access to, removes the buttons I never use, and does so in a completely intuitive manner. It feels good in the hand, if a tad lighter than I would like. Many of the buttons do I have a nice rubber feel and the volume and channel buttons have a satisfying action. My TV is very responsible to continuous (multi-step) volume changes. And for those wondering if it has a mute functionality, the answer is yes. Simply pressing the volume button in, rather than up or down, toggles mute. As I said, a terrific compact replacement with a simplified interface. I love this thing. For 10 bucks? How can you go wrong? I cannot speak to the durability of this remote, having just acquired it, but the build quality seems adequate, but not high end.
