Tired of trying to figure out what you should be eating for breakfast, or whether it’s ever OK to eat before going to bed? Want to know which type of milk, or cereals, or meats are best so that food shopping is easier?
Millions of people already eat, look, and feel better thanks to popular podcast host and board-certified nutritionist Monica Reinagel. In her highly-anticipated guidebook she sorts through all the conflicting nutrition information out there and busts outdated food myths, so you’ll know exactly what to eat (and what to avoid) once and for all. Don’t worry if pasta makes you happy, if chocolate keeps you sane, or if you just can’t stand broccoli; no food is off limits and none is required. Instead, Monica walks you through every aisle of the grocery store and through each meal and snack of the day, helping you make healthier choices and answering your burning questions, including:
– How often should you eat?
– Which organic foods are worth the extra cost?
– Does cooking vegetables destroy the vitamins?
– Should foods be combined in certain ways for better digestion?
Complete with grocery shopping lists, simple, delicious recipes, and sample meal plans, Nutrition Diva’s Secrets for a Healthy Diet will have you feeling healthier, looking better than ever before, and no longer worrying about what to eat for dinner.

Review: ND’s latest book is every bit as concise, informative, and fun as her exceptional podcast and columns (which is saying a lot- she sets some high bars). It helped keep me on course, and not lose the forest for the trees (as is easy to do in an area so fraught with conflicting studies, and claims about foods that are either miraculous, or to be avoided at all costs). I gave a few as Christmas gifts last year, and was pleased to get some very positive feedback from friends and family members who are far less nutritionally oriented than I am. Reinagel has a gift for sharing her knowledge and insights about living a healthful life in a way that’s as enjoyable as it is educational.

Review: I have ready many books about nutrition. Most of them try to give a general overview of the most important topics, which is a perfectly fine approach too. This book is a little bit different, it has something more that is very rare to find in books. It answers so many questions that you may have if you are into nutrition but you do not have a phd in nutrition science. It explains everything wonderfully, and presenting solid scientific evidence. It explains what is behind the true and the false of common believes, so that you can have full awareness and then you are free to decide what (and how) to eat or not eat not because its the current trend or because someone told you that you should do so, but because you really know what you are doing.I truly consider this book a little masterpiece. I absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Review: This is BY FAR the most helpful book I have ever read on nutrition. The author does an excellent job educating her readers on what truly matters when it comes to eating right. It is not a PLAN or a DIET, but a book on what is the best food to fuel your body and very practical tips on ways to make that happen. I have to really like a book to take the time to write a review and I LOVED this book! Buy it! You will not be sorry.

Review: I’m a fan of Monica Reinagel’s podcasts (though I do tire of the incessant advertising you have to listen to during each podcast). This book is a great alternative. No annoying advertising to listen to! Has lots of good, basic info, a few surprises here and there. There are a number of typos in the book, as somebody else pointed out. This surprises me. If I were Ms. Reinagel, I’d hire a better proof-reader.I wouldn’t say there are any earth-shattering, previously undisclosed “secrets”. Most of the information is good basic nutritional knowledge. It is, however, presented in an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand style. One of the things I like about Ms. Reinagel is that she’s not a zealot – she allows for human weaknesses and gives a few hints on compromising with the occasional treat.
