Title: Thinkpad Gen 5
Review: One of the best built windows laptop. Got a great deal during independence day sale.Review after 1 month of use:Processor:-Ryzen 7530U is a best processor clubbed with 16GB RAM is very good for programming or running heavy applications.Keyboard:-I am not quite happy with the new keyboard in Gen 5 as compared to older gen. Lenovo says its more tactile but i feel it moved more towards chicket one which is not what a thinkpad user likes.Webcam:- Webcam could have been better. If there is a even a small light source opp. to the camera, images get very blur. In proper lighting it ok to use, but better to have a seperate webcam if your work requires frequent calls.Battery:- Battery backup is good for a window laptop. With Balanced setting it can easily last for 6-7 hours. Company claims 12 hrs which i feel is not possible and just a gimmick.Display:- Anti Glare screen is just amazing. you will love this if you are a developer and casual OTT consumer. However this is a IPS panel which i feel is the biggest upgrade from older gen thinkpads at this price range, but max brightness is slightly on the lower side of 250 nits. I may be feeling this slightly more i as i used Macbook Air M1 which has around 400 nits with retina display. Since this being built for professional use, i wouldn’t recommend this for graphic designing or photoshop due to low colour accuracy in the displayPorts:Having 2 USB Type C port in Gen 5 is a great plus. You get 2 high speed type a as well. Having Lan and HDMI port is a great relief compared to my MacWin 11 & Office:Both comes pre installed and best part pre activated, you just need to link you office got and done.Overall a great laptop for developers and normal OTT consumer. Value for money product with military grade design.

Title: Decent performance with good config
Review: Build Quality: 10/10Very good solid build, Metal top lid and sturdy base. Overall size reduced as compared to previous Gen ThinkPad 14inch models. Less weight.Display: 6/10WUXGA is not convenient for streaming videos as the width reduced by 1cm and height increased, maybe good for programming. FHD IPS is always better with wide screen. Also in the name of reducing blue light, they made the display colour profile little warm in this new WUXGA display.Performance: 8/10Decent performance for Ryzen 5 with 16GB RAM. Performance is good than HP ProBook with i5 12th gen.Keyboard: 7/10The new chicklet type keyboard with smaller keys and key spacing is not so convenient. ThinkPad fans would get disappointed for this new keyboard. Trackpad is good.Battery: 7/10 Heavy usage lasts for 2-3 hrs and Light usage lasts for 5-8 hrs.Overall, it’s the config package is very good except WUXGA resolution and keyboard.

Title: An Ideal Laptop for Writers!
Review: I’m a writer, and I write novels. My previous choice of device for writing my books was an 11″ iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard. However, despite the immaculate hardware, the biggest shortcoming of that setup was iPadOS and limited professional writing apps like Scrivener. This is where the ThinkPad comes in. This is a reasonably light and portable laptop, but certainly not thin. Don’t let anybody fool you into thinking that this is a thin and light laptop because there are other offerings like the Asus ZenBook 14, Acer 14, Dell Inspiron and XPS, HP Aero, and MacBook Air, however, those offerings are significantly more pricey than this one. Technically, this sells at an MRP of 90-100k, but I bought this at 56k during a sale, and very often, the AMD variant is available for under 70k without sales. So, what do you get for that price? You get a laptop that is reasonably portable and light without compromising battery life and performance. With my usage, which is long reading sessions on a few tabs of Google Chrome and at least two hours of writing on Scrivener, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on and screen brightness at 100%, I’m comfortably getting to the end of the day with 6-8 hours of usage and around 30-40% battery still left. There was this one day where I didn’t charge the laptop before leaving home and still managed to get in a full day’s work with just 30% battery and battery saver on. Your mileage may vary, but I’m very satisfied with the battery life of this product. But, it’s not all roses here. The screen is a little dim and can be hard to view on bright days under direct light. The matte finish does help to keep reflections off, but it can collect dirt and grease over time and make the picture a little smudgy. Charging is great in that it does support PD USB C charging, however, it can be a little picky about which chargers work. For example, the 20W Apple iPad Charger does not charge it well, neither does a 33W Moto PD 3.0 charger work. A 45W Samsung PD charger does work just fine, however. The speakers are really bad on this; don’t expect any base or mids, like genuinely bad speakers. If you haven’t used a ThinkPad before, the typical trackpad orientation isn’t followed here because the click buttons are placed above the trackpad, which can take some time to get used to. While the Ryzen 7000 series chips are great in power management, they might not perform similarly to 13th-generation Intel processors but still have much better value than the Intel variants. Lastly, the keyboard backlight can be a little dim, not that experienced typists require one, so this works just fine for me. Lastly, sometimes an older stock can be shipped to you, and in my case, the laptop overcharged in the first charge cycle and didn’t switch on. I thought there was something wrong with the motherboard, but in fact it was just overcharging, which caused the sudden unresponsiveness, which I learnt of after a trip to the service centre. Though this isn’t specific to this model, you should know about it.Otherwise, the laptop is a great performer with great portability and a great feature set. If you find yourself writing a lot, or you are a developer writing long code, very few lines of laptops rival the ThinkPad series of keyboards. This laptop is all about business as usual, and I think you can’t go wrong with any variant if you choose to buy one. Just skip the AMD 5000 series and Intel 11th gen variants if you can and avoid spending cash for the 16 GB RAM – an extra user upgradeable RAM slot is available for an extra 32 GB and an extra M2 slot for an SSD up to 2 TB.

Title: why it didn’t come with Pre-Installed Microsoft Office as mentioned
Review: When it is clearly mentioned in the Amazon product details that”Operating System: Preloaded Windows 11 Home SL with Lifetime Validity | Pre-installed software: Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021″Then why it didn’t come with Pre-Installed Microsoft Office. I contacted the seller and they are denying that the product doesn’t come with pre-installed Microsoft office 2021. Now i am in the middle of no where, as we know without office nothing works. I would like to mentioned why this was displayed in the amazon product list, it should be rectified. So that no one other then me falls in the trape. But the Product is excellent, that’s why rating it to 5 star.
