Review: On my Spiritual journey of about 25 years, apart from receiving insights through meditation, I have come across many profound books, amongst them a classic of spirituality, Autobiography Of A Yogi, by Swami Yoganand. This book, JOURNEY TO SELF REALIZATION, is an absolute gem. Swami Yoganand Ji, and members of Swamiji’s Foundation, who have collected these talks and essays, present us with treasures simply there for the taking. Each section is bite-sized, so to speak, and very easy to understand, especially for people brought up in the Western tradition, as these lectures were presented to American audiences, and as such there are regular references to the teachings of Jesus, which correlate with the message Swami Ji is conveying. The chapters are short and succinct but each is absolutely charged with the deepest knowledge. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Every chapter is on a different topic and helps you see the world through complete new eyes. Not only does you thinking change, but also the actions you take in everyday life.Some parts are too close to Christianity according to my taste, but that is a case of personal appreciation…

I found this book very interesting not only concerning his personal philosophy, but also his interpretation of the meaning and understanding of Christianity free of the alterations made by various rulers who influenced it’s development throughout history.
