The conclusion to the Cat and Mouse Duet is here…
“If she were to die… the world would die with her.”
The worst Adeline Reilly expected for her life were a few unholy ghosts haunting the hallways of Parsons Manor, not falling in love with her stalker and ending up in the clutches of a trafficking ring.
Trapped in a house used to groom women for the elite, she faces the biggest fight of her life—survive the Culling and escape. But that’s not so easy when watchful eyes are determined to see her fail. However, Adeline may have an unlikely ally, who just might be the key to her getting out alive.
But trusting them is a risk that could cost her everything.
Meanwhile, Zade will stop at nothing until Adeline is safe in his arms again, even if he must burn the world to find her. Hunting his little mouse is what he’s best at, but who she’ll be when he finds her is a battle that he doesn’t know he can win.
It won’t be the test of time they must survive, but the memories of who they once were.
Warning: This is the second and final installment to the Duet. You must read Haunting Adeline first.

Title: Dark but mind blowing
Review: The story is dark, intense, emotional, angsty, thrilling, dramatic, steamy and romantic. It is dark romance that begins from where the story ended in book 1. It is narrated in dual POVs and is accompanied by a number of trigger warnings. It is well written with a strong female protagonist and an amazing male protagonist. The readers will be sucked into the story right from the beginning itself. It is a highly recommended book for readers who like this genre.Personal Take:I have been pining to read the next part of the duet since the first book was released. It took me a few days to finish it but it was worth it. I really like the way the author writes her books and I absolutely loved Z (male protagonist) in this one. I really liked how the author included Sibel from her book and I hope I will see her in other books as well.

Title: Read trigger warnings before reading the book itself
Review: I ordered the book 2, and it was gg. The cake it is. The storyline along the author’s narration was nice. Give it a try first — But read trigger warning first of all. Nice book overall, but the binding and print quality got me giving it a 4 stars.

Title: Meadows, baby. Our last name is Meadows.
Review: •Without you, I will shatter. But with you, I am indestructible.•Meadows, baby. Our last name is Meadows.•I may own every breath in your body, but make no mistake, Adeline, you own mine, too. I am yours to command. To bend and break. To mould and manipulate. If mental trauma was a book, it would’ve been this one. I almost lost my entire brain cell while reading this book, sometimes even cannot be able to read it in one go and had to take 2 minutes break. But somehow I’ve managed to complete the entire book. Now, the question is, if the book traumatized me to that extent, then why am I giving it a 5-star rating? Well, the reason is the plot line and the scenes of this book. In this book, we can see Zade’s love for Adeline more intensely. But to be honest, having someone to love like Zade, Adeline is the luckiest. And after Aaron Warner, Zade Meadows is one of the best book boyfriends I’ve ever read.My favourite scene in this book, there are numerous. As in the scene where Adeline proposed her love to Zade, where Zade show his love to Adeline every single moment after he found Adeline back, or the way Zade patiently wait for Adeline to be comfortable with him before he could touch her. But the scene where Adeline tries to break up with Zade actually broke my heart. And that is the scene where we can see how intensely Zade loves Adeline.Overall, all the trauma and sleepless night and lack of appetite were worth it as this book was 5 stars for me.

Title: The book itself is really good.
Review: The book is really good. But the problem is with the quality of the book mine has torn pages missing print. Really dark print etc.I was out of town when the book arrived. And when I checked the book, realised it is not upto the quality standard. I decided to return it. But to my bad luck the return period is already over.😕 So now I’m stuck with a damaged book. Really bummed about it.

Title: WOW!
Review: This was the second instalment of the cat and mouse duet and what an insane ride of emotions it was! This story begins right from where the first book ended and I didn’t expect it to be this darker, I mean yes I did read the trigger warnings and got the gist of what’ll be happening in it but I had no idea the extent of it.In a few scenes, I was literally on the verge of crying and throwing my phone away. I had to stop, take a few deep breaths just continue reading this. The horrors Addie had to go through were gruesome to read but still, I did bc I wanted to see her survive and I knew she would and the way Z helped her, he did everything for her and it’s really hard to not to fall in love with him, he made it really tough to not admire him and be feared as well as excited by him. The way my heart was breaking while reading this book and also I finished this in one sitting.I’m still in shock tho after reading and I just had to get my thoughts and I’ve so many things to say just go on this journey without any spoilers it’s not for the faint of minds so read it at your risk and PLEASE READ THE TW!

Review: For those who love a redemption story and a female character growing strong over time, it is quite amazing! It’s very similar to ‘I will break you’ from Gigi Stix, with a hardcore killer as the main male character and a stupid-to-badass female main character. But the best part is the plot, each chapter hanging on edge to discover what’s going to happen outside of the main “love story” which made this book an interesting read even if the spicy parts weren’t there.I can’t wait to read,’Does it hurt?’

Title:
Review: The duet of Haunting Adeline and Hunting Adeline is one of the best I’ve ever read. The characters are fascinating – over the top – yet still relatable and likable. The situations they find themselves in are out there, but believable enough to make sense within the boundaries of the stories’ universe. The stories hit on all the emotions being creepy, amuzing, horrifying on several levels, sad, empowering, devastating, and laugh-out-loud-in-a-public-place funny. Sometimes, all at once!I loved these books, and if you are into dark romance, you’ll love them too.Hurray for H. D. Carlton!

Review: I have recently found and fell in love with HD Caron and their books. This is one of technically 4 books in a series. Satans Affair being the first, haunting Adeline being the second, this one being the third and then where’s molly being the fourth. The books are gritty, dark, interesting and sexy! HD Carlton has a writing style that allows for vivid depictions of both the gore and horror, and the steamy sexy scenes that this book contains. The story of Adeline and Zade is so enjoyable to read! I couldn’t help but fall in love with these two and rooted for them the entire 2 books in which their story is told. I found this story incredibly interesting and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. This is a hard book to put down!
