Review: Physics Optical Experiment Set Multifunction Reflector Refraction Triangular Prism Convex LensMany STEM college degrees require a college physics or engineering physics, and this product is going to help out with some of the later chapters.This product is an excellent tool when you get to the chapter on optics. Sometimes it can be difficult to visualize reflection, refraction, and diffusion. It becomes especially difficult when you are giving angles and the index of refraction. This product takes your study to the next level by showing you exactly how light behaves when entering a medium at different angles.I love how the product provides 3 beams that drive home the point on this topic. Not only does it drive the point, but it gets you thinking creatively about convex and concave designs. Think of a magnifying lens.The beams are adjustable by a screwdriver, so you may offset them a little for your experiment, or you can make them as straight as possible.I have to knock this product a star because I was not too excited about the construction or the color used for the light box. The box uses a thin plastic that is not going to be very durable. You should take care not to damage the case. It is pretty flimsy. I also do not like that they used orange. Because of the flimsy material and the orange color, the laser can be seen through the box and it is bright. It actually hurts my eyes to look at it. You may want to consider wearing protective eyewear when handling this product.Overall, I am excited about this product because it provides some very valuable lessons in optics. I highly recommend this product as a teaching aid.
