‘Fantasy as it ought to be written’ George R.R. Martin

The kingdom of the Six Duchies is on the brink of civil war when news breaks that the crown prince has fathered a bastard son and is shamed into abdication. The child’s name is Fitz, and he is despised.

Raised in the castle stables, only the company of the king’s fool, the ragged children of the lower city, and his unusual affinity with animals provide Fitz with any comfort.

To be useful to the crown, Fitz is trained as an assassin; and to use the traditional magic of the Farseer family. But his tutor, allied to another political faction, is determined to discredit, even kill him. Fitz must survive: for he may be destined to save the kingdom.

Title: Fabulous read
Review: ThIs is the first book in farseer triology it’s an adult fantasy series.First book in series follows the childhood events of boy name Fitz who is son of chivalry with unknown identity.Throughout the first book their is lot of character and world development, story line is very fast paced making it quick read.Fitz has ability of magical link with animal known as wit which seeks him solaceand companionship. But since he has been welcome back in the Royal Family he has to forget about his wit and has to learn about other solider abilities like weaponary, scribing, courtly manners, how to kill person in silence and how to be a true assissan. His journey of being turning into an assissan was filled with adventures, learning news skills, longing for acceptance, being rejected and lossing his trust over his friend and mentor.Really looking forward for picking up next book in series sooner.

Title: We Are Pack!
Review: There are 16 books in this robin hobb’s the Realm of the Elderlings…..9 books are centered upon FitzChivalry. Before you start reading robin hobb’s work know that her books are emotionally driven…her characters are far more humane than any characters from any other novel, they make so many mistakes leading to painful consequences.Embark on this journey only if you could withstand the joy and a lot more pain. Robin’s works will definitely make you shed tears. Her work was completely different to the ones i’ve read before. There are not a lot of humor. As i said, her novels will definitely make you cry… i’ve completed the Realm of the Elderlings. This is a review of the entire series not just A’sA.Its already one of my most favourite fantasy series.I am a man, and i confess that these novels made my eyes swell up with tears. When the characters endure pain you will feel it too. That is what makes robin hobb better than a lot of fantasy authors when it comes to character developement and depth.Follow me on Reddit: Baalazamon

Title: Read it for the slow burn
Review: The book starts really slow but worth keeping at it. Having just finished it, my heart is full. Hobb has created heroes I will long remember.

Title: Fitz and the fool
Review: Well written characters are what makes a book interesting. Characters like Fitz,Fool and Burrich stay with you long after you have put down the book. There’s also the element of magic with the ‘Wit’ and ‘Skill’. The only reason I havent given this 5 stars is because of the slow pacing at times. For people who love the fantasy genre, this book is a definite buy.

Title: Poor quality of book
Review: The book’s MRP is 399 INR but the quality is very poor. The pages are very thin, the binding is also fragile and will come apart if you read the book more than once. It has grey-sih colored type pages, the kind of book that one would buy under 100 INR from non genuine sources. Very disappointed, esp after paying the right price, you get this kind of quality.

Review: I’m a classic lit fan generally. But I needed a change. From the very thorough research I did – seriously I study Data Science so it’s my thing – this series is always at or very near the top of fantasy reader’s favorites. I loved LoTR so fantasy was what I figured I’d try. This immediately has not disappointed. I started with the kindle version and was blown away by the beauty of the art that’s included-especially using my iPad to read it. I’ve included 2 illustrations that are included in the kindle-on-my-iPad edition. These paperbacks do not have pictures. The story is at once beautifully crafted, detailed, interesting and I couldn’t put it down for a few hours – homework be dam*ed.But I work on my laptop so much I prefer actual analogue books. And these paperbacks are so well done. If you understand the importance of “floppyness” and binding then I’ll say these are amazing. I literally just opened the box and opened the book. As you see in the pic it’s not a struggle to keep them open even with one hand. But are strongly bound. And easy to hold in any position. And again the story is 100% fantastic. Either kindle or paperback it’s a book that anyone would enjoy and though it’s fantasy it’s not YA – thank the Almighty above. No ridiculous toxic teenage storylines (I definitely checked before I started reading it). But a true coming of age story. But it is much more than that. It’s not a kids book. It’s not HP but HP fans could easily love it. I bought all 3 of this first series and I already know I’ll end up with every single book in the entire collection.Phenomenal world building, character development, flow, depth, sentence structure (!). Just brilliant. I’m stuck in and grateful for the study break where I do not feel guilty at all. Pure pleasure. Feel like a giddy kid.

Review: I expected a good story, but not this well-written and beautifully framed. The characters, setting and change are so expertly handled, it’s a hard ask to put down. My first Robin Hobb leaves little to be desired beyond.
